The 11 Acre Studio is a unique photography environment designed by the owner, Steve Hinrichs. After working as a photographer in multiple Springfield-area locations, he decided to create a studio of his own, one ideal for individual photography, families and pets.
Founded in 1988, the 11 Acre Studio sits on a wooded hillside along the Sangamon River. Through the years more than 900 trees and plants have been added to provide new scenic backgrounds. As they have matured, the 11 Acre Studio has reached arboretum status.
While the outdoor areas offer seasonal color and considerable versatility, the indoor studio is perfect for more formal photo occasions. It provides total control when natural conditions don’t cooperate.
